Welcome back! It’s Alisha from alishaleytem.com. In this video, I am going to guide you through a heart-opening and gratitude-guided meditation. By the end of this, you're going to feel like your heart is more open and you will actually feel gratitude in your body.
There’s a difference between thinking about things you're grateful for and feeling the gratitude in your body. When you do that you’re actually raising the vibration of yourself and elevating your energy. Which is going to attract better things to you because you’re feeding into that energy, but you might already know that since you’re watching this guided meditation.
I love to do these when I am feeling out of sorts and not grateful, and I find myself complaining a lot. I just need to re-center, re-ground and connect to the space in my heart's center.
So find a very comfortable seat, you can lie down if you like. If you have essential oils on you, I am going to recommend two oils to help you embody this level of gratitude and heart expansion.
The two I am recommending are rose oil, which is the oil of love. It’s actually the highest vibrational oil that there is. Next is frankincense. What I recommend is to get the roller bottles and then roll them over your heart chakra. Right in the center of your chest and rub them up and down. Layer them on top of each other.
These are already pre-diluted for you so it is safe to wear and apply. Frankincense is the oil of truth and rose is the oil of love. You might even start to feel some tingling in your chest area.
Once you apply those, sit up nice and tall. Put your hands on your knees, palms up. Close your eyes, take a really deep breath in through the nose, and out through the mouth. Close the lips and find a nice steady, smooth breathing pattern.
You might feel your breath really breathing into the heart space already especially if you put those oils on, it’s going to expand it a little more. Just connect with that smooth, steady rhythm of breathing, in and out.
Notice any tension in the shoulders, release them. Any tension in the forehead or jaw, just let it go. Now that you're feeling more grounded to your body, I want you to bring your awareness down to your heart space.
You may notice as you bring your intention and focus to the heart as you breathe, you expand it. It just naturally gets bigger. What we focus on expands. Where our attention goes, energy flows.
As your awareness is in that heart space I want you to imagine the first thing that comes to mind that you are grateful for in this moment. Don’t judge anything that comes up for you.
Just receive the first thing. This could be a friend, a pet. Could be for yourself for taking a few moments to mediate right now.
Maybe it’s for your job or even the sun shining outside. As you identify what you are grateful for, I want you to feel into that with your heart. Feel what that feels like in your body to be truly grateful and thankful for that thing in your life.
See if you can hold it in through the heart. See if it’s getting more intense in the heart space. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I receive, I receive, I receive.
As I receive gratitude, as I receive this, my heart expands and I can give more out to the world. I share my gratitude with others, I expand my heart in love for all things and people around me.
Feel it in the heart. Allow your emotion to overcome you. This is good. You want to feel the gratitude in your body.
Abraham Hicks tells us that you can manifest something for 45 seconds by feeling the feeling of what it is that you want. When you’re grateful for something and you feel that emotion, you attract more of that and more of what you appreciate.
It’s okay if we fall off our gratitude practice. Or if we forget to appreciate the little things or even the big things, as long as we come back. We come back to gratitude. We come back to appreciating how much we have.
Without expectations. Knowing that this will elevate our energy. As we elevate our energy, we elevate the energy of our planet and all of those around us. It serves you and it serves the world when you feel good. Feel it in your heart.
Finally bring your left hand onto your heart space for the last few moments of feeling that which you are grateful for. Maybe deepen the breath. Maybe you raise your chest a little higher. Maybe you smile. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
When you are ready you can release the hands, take a deep breath and slowly open the eyes. Thank you guys so much for joining me. Namaste.
